This park is located on USH 51 North, across from the Rock County Health Department, near the intersection of Hwy 14. Although the park is only 9 acres, it is one of the most popular parks in the County. Many family and group picnics are held here. In 1993, a swing set was installed that is accessible by those physically challenged. Many visitors stop just to let the children enjoy the playground facilities or to observe the White-tailed deer.

From the time the park was acquired in 1967 until 1979, it was known as Sportsman's Park. The name was officially changed to Walt Lindemann Sportsman's Park on February 28, 1980. This was to honor the late Walt Lindemann who served as Rock County Clerk from 1941 to 1972. He showed a special interest and concern for the recreational and park facilities of Rock County.

The facilities at this park are excellent. There are 20 picnic tables with two accessible to the handicapped. There are restrooms, a drinking fountain, playground equipment, litter barrels, and electricity for shelter renters.
